This is by far the worst school ever!!!! The teachers grit their teeth, scream at the kids and stomp their feet at the children, they also talk negative about children behind their back to other kids and staff. Cannot show my distaste enough for the poor staff here. There is not enough punishment dished out to students when life threats are made and children are hazed and bullied at school and nothing is done about it. I have personally witnessed this first hand and had a serious problem with Mr. Mitten not acting or doing what should be done to handle serious situations. My husband has lived here since 1999 and says Daleville never use to be like this. Getting my daughter moved soon and we are planning on leaving Daleville permanently, but only because the schools are horrible. The high school is no better. I know for a fact a fight usually breaks out many times a week. Worst school ever.
As a military spouse I would love nothing more than to give this small town school a good rating. My child has been to many schools throughout the country so I've had an array of different experiences within school districts. However, the staff in the front office seem very disorganized, her first grade teacher was horrible, and the layout seems very uninviting. With that being said, my family has two years here and look forward to a prompt PCS. On a lighter note if you have no other options, her second grade teacher seems much better but I would advise staying on top of your child's progress.
Love how they instill leadership in their students! My daughter loves attending this school!! All the faculty have been nothing but helpful the last 2 years! Thanks Windham!
